Our Story

A Dream Built
With Love

Lions Lick Cat Boarding is a small, boutique-style family-owned and operated cat boarding facility. We're a husband and wife team — Roland and Tammy — and building a cattery has been our dream since arriving in Australia from overseas back in 2001.

Roland built our cattery himself from an old piggery shed on our property, constructing every bay by hand while working full time as a paramedic. Every detail was crafted with care and purpose — to give your cat the very best stay possible.

We're a cat-mad family with lots of our own cats, and we're passionate about meeting new ones. Our goal is to provide each cat with a luxurious "home away from home" experience.

Each cat has their own fully contained individual bay with a private pen, scratching post, comfy bed, and litter box.

Garden Access

Select bays have their own private grass and garden area, giving your cat space to stretch, explore, and enjoy the outdoors safely.

Climate Control

All bays are fitted with both cooling and heating, keeping your cat perfectly comfortable year-round no matter the season.

Premium Feeding

Our guests are fed Royal Canin — available all day and night, plus a wet meal each evening. Special diets welcome — just bring their food!

Medication Care

Happy to administer any required medication. Please supply it in original packaging with clear dosage instructions.

"Outstanding facility for cats. We have just had our 'old girl Smokey' cared for by Roland, Tammy, and his girls for 3 weeks while we were away.

She had her own private pen, scratching post, comfy bed, and litter box, plus her own private grass area to stretch her legs. Premium quality food was supplied and areas were very hygienically cleaned.

I loved receiving regular updates with photos to let us know how she was going. Smokey was literally pampered the whole time. I don't think she wanted to come home!

No. By law we cannot accept cats that haven't been vaccinated. This requirement exists to keep your cat and all others in the cattery safe from illness.

Our guests are fed Royal Canin — available day and night, plus a wet meal each evening. We're happy to accommodate special diets — just supply your cat's own food.

We're very flexible! Our preferred times are between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Sunday, all year round. We're happy to accommodate earlier or later times by prior arrangement — just let us know.
